Pinkleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This enormous tree grows up to 103 meters (337.9 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 205 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, twisting trunk covered in delicate, knobbly, brown and grey bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale yellow.

The branches are long and thin and are covered with very large amounts of soft, miniature, perforated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are silver on the edges and pink at the center.

In late summer it forms large, gold, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
