Magentafern

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 36 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, straight stems covered in very thick, cracked, dark green bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down across the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of large, stiff, pointed, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either magenta, or hazel with vibrant yellow splotches, light and soft.

In mid-spring it produces clusters of tiny, cream flowers with triangular shaped petals. They detach easily and have no scent.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
