Violetleaf

This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 479 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in hard, ridged, dark green bark, and inside, the hard wood is pine-coloured.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of waxy, giant, sickle shaped leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are blood red on the sides and violet at the center.

In late summer it forms small, gold, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
