Copper-colored

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 61 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, slanted stems covered in paper-thin, knobbly, black bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are short and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of huge, 4 pointed, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are bronze on the sides and light brown at the center, strong and smooth.

In mid-spring it produces dozens of large, purple flowers with circular petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like garlic.
