Orange Tuft Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized, moss green grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in thin clumps that are resilient and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, orange tuft.

During the early winter, it produces very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of tiny grains.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
