Magenta

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 302 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, crooked trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale yellow.

The tangled mess of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of leathery, miniature, finger-like leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are silver and magenta.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of giant, orange blossoms with circular petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like rotten egg.

In late summer it forms large, beige, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
