Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In moorlands, In heathlands, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is large, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely durable; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
