Silverleaf

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 90 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several sturdy, crooked stems covered in thin, wrinkled, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of huge, perforated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of gray-green and slate that gradient shifts to silver at the top, delicate and covered in fine hairs.

It produces a thick sheet of giant, green flowers with needle-like petals. They are hardy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like skunk spray. In late summer it forms smallcrimson, spiky-shelled seeds.
