Caramel

This large caudiciform grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is caramel or violet, and is covered in large amounts of fine, olive, hair-like spines. The crooked, olive trunk can grow to as much as 13 feet (4.0 meters) in diameter at the top. Its orange branches are short stubs and start growing at the top the stem.

The thick bunches of irregular-edged, wispy leaves are green with blue tips. They are delicate, but take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of beige, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a tube with 33 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like warm cookies.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the muted blue flesh is waxy, and the peach sap is thin.
