Silver Moss

This silver moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On trees.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is very rigid; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
