Greyfern

This huge flower grows up to 7.7 feet (2.3 meters) tall. Its dark brown or slate stem is wispy and straight with a curved tip, and the huge, yellow-green leaves are slender, pointed with toothed edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 101 cm (39.8 inches) wide, with green petals on the lower layer and grey petals decorated with black dots on the inner layer. The central disk is orange. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of widely spaced narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has a weak scent that smells like coconut, and it has lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by a variety of insects.
