Winding Willow (Green)

This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1558 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, wavy trunk covered in silky, brown-green bark, and inside, the very light wood is black with white speckles.

The numerous branches are short stubs, with dozens of twigs covered with handfuls of large, gray-green needles. The needles themselves are light.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, lime, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
