Crimson Bindweed

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 33 feet (10.1 meters) and growing as high as 766 feet (233.5 meters).

It takes 3 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The circular, smooth leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are generally crimson, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a handful of large gentle orange flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces a few tiny fruits.

It is suitable for making strong rope
The leaves are overwhelmingly toxic, and very spicy.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
