Indigo Creeper

This huge creeper is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,940 feet (591.3 meters) and growing as high as 328 feet (100.0 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 42 years for the moss green or gold stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 2.2 feet (66 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The sickle shaped, clammy leaves reach up to 3.7 feet (1.1 meters) in length. They are yellow and indigo, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces thousands of large orange flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of large fruits.
