Orange Moss

This orange moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On trees, In damp forests, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely light; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
