Bloodvine

Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This huge shrub grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 172 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous long and flexible, straight stems covered in very thick, wrinkled, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of giant, pleated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of orange-yellow and green that gradient shifts to aquamarine at the top, frail and waxy.

It produces several tiny, blood red flowers with perforated petals. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like misty mornings. In mid-autumn it forms giantlime, tough-shelled seeds.
