Copperbell

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 26 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several thick, straight stems covered in very thick, smooth, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are short and thick with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of giant, thick, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are dull green and slate, frail and soft.

In mid-summer it produces several small, deep purple flowers with slender, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like old shoes.
