Silverweed

This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 53 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous wide, straight stems covered in thin, knobbly, silver bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are long, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of huge, very thick, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in hazel and brown varieties, light and covered in fine hairs.

It produces hundreds of medium-sized, azure flowers with sickle shaped petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like baby powder. In late winter it forms smallpastel yellow, tough-shelled seeds.
