Silvervine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 17 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous stocky, angular stems covered in very thick, smooth, silver bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches trail down across the ground that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, long, tapering, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are dark brown and sky blue, robust and smooth.

It produces a thick sheet of giant, green flowers with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have no scent. In early autumn it forms giantgentle orange seed pods.

It comes in 80 varieties.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
