Silvervine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This giant bine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,033 feet (619.7 meters) and growing as high as 560 feet (170.7 meters).
It takes 8 years for the silver stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 4.1 feet (1.2 meters) and are rough and woody.
The thick, soft leaves reach up to 3.3 feet (99 cm) in length. They are dark brown and sky blue, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the bine produces thousands of tiny yellow flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of small seed pods.
It can survive a very long time without water.
