Orange Clinger
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This enormous tree grows up to 129 meters (423.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 344 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, ridged, dark green bark, and inside, the very light wood is silver.
The branches are short stubs and are covered with sparse amounts of sticky, huge, 2 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either orange or purple, with blue edges.
In early spring, it produces several tiny, yellow blossoms with 8 spiral shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a powerful scent that smells like meat.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, gentle orange seed pods.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
