Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing large areas On rotten logs, In damp forests, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly hardy.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
