This green moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In marshes.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely hardy; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It comes in 2 varieties, each with a different petal colour.
It has impressive regenerative properties.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
