Crimson Cactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This modest-sized cactus grows up to 27 feet (8.2 meters) tall. The thin stem is subtle red, and is covered in sharp spines.
It is very slow growing, taking 7 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with blood red petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a cup made up of many raised, narrow petals. It has a faint scent that smells like sugar.
The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the violet flesh is rough, and the crimson sap is thin.
It is suitable for making paper
