Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is extremely flimsy.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
