Silverleaf

This giant tree grows up to 106 meters (347.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 367 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, curved trunk covered in thin, smooth, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is silver.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of clammy, large, wispy leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are amber at the bottom and green with dark brown lines at the top.

In late summer it forms tiny, cream, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
