Amberleaf

This giant leaf succulent grows up to 163 feet (49.7 meters) tall. The tapering stem is red and cream, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid amber spines. The rounded leaves are yellow-green with bronze tips. Large amounts of them grow on wide, silver branches that are long, thin and wispy. The leaves are flexible, and take some effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 12 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with alternating petals of cyan and faded orange, with an indigo central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 30 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a strong scent that smells like something putrid.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the blue flesh is smooth, and the copper sap is thin.
