This emerald moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In bogs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely light.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
