Copper Heath Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In heathlands, In bogs, and In damp forests.
It is large, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely flimsy.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
