Silverstar

This average-sized flower grows up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) tall. Its red stems grow in bunches of 7 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the tiny, red leaves are spear shaped with tattered edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Many small flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 12 cm (4.7 inches) wide, with silver petals that gradient shift to black on the outer edge. The central disk is gold. The flower head is shaped like a star with 19 widely spaced, narrow petals. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like bleach, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
