Thornspire Succulent

This small caudiciform grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is dark grey, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid subtle purple spines. It has a straight, thick, gnarled, orange trunk atop a stumpy block of wrinkled, exposed roots. The branches are bulbous and orange and are short and thick.

The tattered-edged, very thin leaves are solid silver or magenta, with blue edges. They are resistant, but take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are red on the underside and violet on the top, grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like wet dog.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the green flesh is rough, and the hazel sap is thin.
