Purple Splendor

This brilliant purple moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In marshes, In rainforests, and In moorlands.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is very tough.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
