Magentree
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 624 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in silky, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is burgundy-brown.
The small handful of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of soft, large, pleated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally magenta.
In late summer it forms large, caramel berries.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
