Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)This big, lime green grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The pleated stalks grow in sparse patches that are flimsy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, black spikelet.
During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
