Emerald Crescent Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly resistant.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
