Cyanara

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) tall. The very thick stem is gray, and is dotted with small bright orange spines. It has a straight, very thick, subtle green trunk atop a slender web of knobbly, exposed roots. The branches are very thick and deep purple and are tall, rigid and upright.

The wavy-edged, perforated leaves are red and dark grey. They are durable, and take some effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of lilac, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 22 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a soft scent that smells like pineapple.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the orange flesh is rough, and the cyan sap is thin.
