Crimson Conifer

This average-sized tree grows up to 24 meters (78.7 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 151 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in fine, rough, brown-green bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is brown.

The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground, with hundreds of twigs covered with small bunches of miniature, pink-red needles. The needles themselves are robust.

In late summer it produces large, cream, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
