Amber Fruit Tree

This colossal fruit tree grows up to 69 feet (21.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 83 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in ridged, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is yellow-brown.

The abundance of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of large, asymmetrical leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are grey with cream tips.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of small, yellow blossoms with many layers of petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like damp.

In mid-summer it produces , fan-like fruit. The hairy copper skin is peel-able and inedible, and the crunchy amber flesh is bitter and juicy. The brown seeds are large and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
