Lime Green Conifer
Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3046 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, straight trunk covered in rough, light brown bark, and inside, the light wood is black with white speckles.
The branches are long, thin and wispy, with hundreds of twigs covered with handfuls of miniature, lime green needles. The needles themselves are strong.
In late summer it produces small, pastel yellow, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for making paper
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
