Golden Spine Succulent

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 159 feet (48.5 meters) tall. The very thin stem is orange, and is covered in handfuls of flexible gold spines. The finger-like leaves are lime on the edges and azure at the center. Thick bunches of them grow on very thick, orange branches that are short stubs. The leaves are flimsy, but take little effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid violet petals decorated with bright green dots and a red central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 39 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a strong scent that smells like rainy days.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the grey flesh is soft, and the crimson sap is thin.
