Mahogany

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big tree grows up to 74 meters (242.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 134 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a stocky, slanted trunk covered in thick, waxy, mahogany-coloured bark, and inside, the dense wood is silver.

The small bunches of branches are very long and thin and are covered with large amounts of smooth, huge, slender, pointed leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are light blue on the sides and pink at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, orange, shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
