Copper

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant flower grows up to 15.1 feet (4.6 meters) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is thin, and the miniature, caramel leaves are very thin with wavy edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Each stem splits 2 to 5 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 104 cm (40.9 inches) wide, with alternating petals of copper and red, with a peach central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 33 tightly layered, narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like new carpet, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
