Amberbrush

This giant shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for around 50 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has numerous wide, wonky stems covered in silky, light brown bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of miniature, finger-like, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in amber, white and ashy green varieties, frail and smooth.

It produces lots of tiny, bright red flowers with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have an intense scent that smells like petrol. In mid-autumn it forms giantwhite aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
