Coppergrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This modest-sized, yellow-green grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in thin clumps that are prone to bending and snapping under stress and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, copper tuft.
During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
