Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 25 feet (7.6 meters) and growing as high as 432 feet (131.7 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 21 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The broad, flat, smooth leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are sky blue at the bottom and cyan with azure edges at the top, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of large violet flowers.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
