Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This giant creeper is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,392 feet (424.3 meters) and growing as high as 940 feet (286.5 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.
It takes 33 years for the green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 11 inches (28 cm) and are flat and wavy.
The needle-like, smooth leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are solid washed-out blue or crimson, with violet zig-zags, and have serrated edges.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
