Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This short cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 2 finger-like stems. Each stem is gray-green and silver, and is dotted with small gold spines.
It is slow growing, taking 16 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid pink petals decorated with pale red lines and a sky blue central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of 11 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like a man.
The cactus's skin is thin, the yellow flesh is sticky, and the hazel sap is thin.
