Amberbell

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its brilliant yellow stem is thick and splits into dozens of branching stems at the base, and the tiny, silver leaves are very thin with smooth edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Two large flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide, with solid amber petals decorated with caramel dots and a brown central disk. The flower head is made up of 35 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. They detach easily.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like chocolate, and it has excessive amounts of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.

It is suitable for making strong rope
