Yellow Starburst

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 47 feet (14.3 meters) tall. The wispy stem is moss green, and is covered in brittle brilliant yellow spines.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with alternating petals of dark grey and white, with a hazel central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a star made up of dozens of raised, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like cherry.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the crimson flesh is sticky, and the brown sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
