Silver Moss

This silver moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, and On rotten logs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is overwhelmingly rigid.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores.
